Aluminum Railings for South Florida Projects
Balcony, stair, window, landscape and rooftop railings — estimated, engineered, fabricated and installed by one team.
Aluminum railings built for the way South Florida builds
Aluminum is the go-to railing material for South Florida construction for good reason: it doesn’t rust the way steel can in salt air, it’s light enough to install efficiently on upper floors, and a finished aluminum system holds its look with minimal upkeep. At Fusion Welding & Fabrication FL, aluminum railings are the core of what we do — from a single front-porch handrail to the full railing package on a multi-story apartment community.
We work with developers, general contractors, homeowners, and property management teams across Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties. Our shop is in Hollywood, FL, right between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, and every railing we install is built by our own team.

Railing types we fabricate and install
- Balcony railings for apartments, condos, and townhomes, including first-floor patios.
- Guardrails and handrails for stairs, ramps, walkways, decks, and elevated platforms.
- Window railings, landscape railings, and property fencing.
- Rooftop railings and privacy roof screens.
- Custom railing designs, including railing with integrated LED lighting — see our Bayfront Courtyard project.
One team, start to finish
Railing problems usually come from hand-offs: the estimate doesn’t match the drawings, the drawings don’t match the field, or the installer isn’t the company that built the parts. We keep the whole process under one roof:
- Estimating — estimates are built directly from your plans and specs, so the number reflects the actual scope.
- Engineering — each project is engineered by a licensed structural engineer to meet load and code requirements; field measurements are taken and shop drawings prepared before fabrication starts.
- Fabrication & production — handled in house, with each run welded to spec according to the approved shop drawings.
- Installation — our own crew installs, from delivery through final walkthrough.
- Project management — one point of contact coordinates timelines and site logistics with your team.
Finishes, colors, and profiles are chosen with you during estimating and shop drawings.
Code requirements and engineering
Railings and guards in Florida are governed by the Florida Building Code, which sets requirements such as minimum guard heights, opening limits, and structural loads. In Miami-Dade and Broward counties — the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) — additional requirements apply to building products and their approvals. Your plans and engineer of record set the specifics for each project; our engineering and shop drawings are prepared to meet them.
Who we work with
Developers and general contractors on multifamily and new construction get a railing partner who works alongside the whole project team from early planning through final punch list. Homeowners and custom home builders get help choosing options, finishes, and budget before anything is built. Property owners and management teams rely on us for railing repairs, replacements, and code-compliance upgrades with minimal disruption to residents.
