Milestone inspections and recertification

Florida requires milestone structural inspections for many condominium and cooperative buildings three stories or taller, and Miami-Dade and Broward counties have long-standing building recertification programs for older buildings. When an engineer’s inspection report identifies railing or guard deficiencies, those items usually need to be repaired or replaced as part of the building’s corrective work.

We can work from your engineer’s report and the associated repair drawings, coordinate with your engineer of record and contractor, and fabricate replacement railings to the approved shop drawings. Replacement railings are engineered by a licensed structural engineer to meet load and code requirements under the current Florida Building Code.
