Aluminum Balcony Railings
Balcony and patio railings for multifamily buildings, condos, townhomes and single-family homes across South Florida.
Balcony railings that stand up to South Florida
A balcony railing is a safety system first and a design element second — and in South Florida it has to do both while facing sun, salt air, humidity, and hurricane season. Aluminum handles that environment well, which is why it’s the standard choice for balconies on apartment buildings, condominiums, and homes from Miami to West Palm Beach.
Fusion Welding & Fabrication FL fabricates aluminum balcony railings in house and installs them with our own crew. Our featured projects include railings on every balcony and first-floor patio of a five-story, 100-unit development (Cedarview Terrace) and the balcony railings for a four-story, 53-home community with private balconies (Surfside Crossing).

Balcony railing options
Most of the balcony railings you see in our project photos are aluminum picket railings — clean, durable, and easy to repeat consistently across hundreds of balconies. We also fabricate custom designs to match an architect’s intent, including privacy screen panels and railings with integrated lighting.
For new construction
On new multifamily and residential construction, balcony railings are usually one of the last exterior items before inspections. We take field measurements early, prepare shop drawings, and have each project engineered by a licensed structural engineer to meet load and code requirements — so railing panels arrive ready to install, floor by floor. For existing buildings
On condominiums and apartment communities, balcony railings may need repair or replacement after years of exposure, or to bring a building up to current code. We work with property owners and management teams to schedule work with minimal disruption to residents. See railing replacement for condos and HOAs.
Code basics for balcony railings
Balcony guards in Florida must meet the Florida Building Code, which covers minimum height, maximum opening size, and the loads a guard must resist. Requirements differ between one- and two-family homes and multifamily or commercial buildings, and projects in Miami-Dade and Broward counties fall within the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone. Your plans and engineer of record set the final requirements for each project.
